Lok Seva Sangam began its still elusive Leprosy Elimination Campaign on February 5, 1976. Since then it has cured over 29000 patients and continues to do so through its 15 dermatological clinics. A dedicated physiotherapy team takes care of the needs of 250 deformed patients in the L and M Wards of Mumbai. In 2003 ,curing TB took a greater part of the team's efforts and controlling the spread of TB continues till date in even greater earnest having registered 9703 patients. The organisation was then invited to look into the problem of malnutrition and now works with 17 Anganwadis thus strengthening the ICDS programme.
